Serena (Ph.D) is fablab manager, researcher and interaction designer. In Lugano, she coordinates Maind, a master program combining design, technology and making. She is interested in open source innovation, maker education and culture, and open and interaction design for social impact. Since 2009, she has coordinated hands-on workshops for designers, artists, makers, and kids on the basics of physical computing, DIY electronics, digital fabrication, open data and computational design. At SUPSI university, Serena develops projects that combines open source hardware practices and community-driven approaches with interaction design methods.
