BestMile is a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) that offers a solution to manage fleets of autonomous vehicles. Based in Switzerland and incorporated in January 2014, BestMile develops a fleet management software that brings coherence to autonomous vehicle fleets by allowing them to be operated together as a public transportation system.
BestMile offers an ecosystem to manage autonomous vehicle fleets: a fleet management software, a smartphone application, a system for traveler information and solutions for the control of smart infrastructure. BestMile software acts as a brain, a remote intelligence for autonomous vehicle fleets that enables them to be operated consistently according to the standards of public transportation. Thanks to BestMile’s web platform, the operator can plan, monitor and control autonomous vehicles remotely; shaping robots into public transport vehicles.
