Johann Recordon is mostly focusing on International Events and Editorial Coordination at Lift, among which two editions of Lift China, Lift India and Data Canvas have been a big part since 2013.
After having spent a year and a half in the Bay Area, first studying computer science at the University of California, Berkeley and then working for swissnex San Francisco, Johann returned to the Swiss mountains to complete a degree in International Hospitality Management at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne and to join the Lift team in October 2013.
Always passionate about social justice and technology, Johann has been involved in various projects aiming at empowering citizens, ranging from sustainable 3D printing to public transportation data visualization, interactive design exhibitions and international collaborations between Switzerland, USA, China and India.
Johann spends most of their free time researching and talking about intersectionality, plant-based diets and the power of sleep. They are also a practitioner of Vipassana meditation.
