An engineer by training and a designer by heart, Johann Richard always worked at the intersection of (human centered) design, technology and business.
After 8 years in the world of digital technologies, Johann is now supporting Swiss organizations and companies to achieve their objectives in technology development for future European and worldwide space missions, and for the commercial space sector. He works as Program Manager for Space Technology and related Programs at the State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation SERI in Berne and is also serving as Delegate to the Euoropean Space Agency ESA in the domains of Telecommunications, Technology and Navigation, as well as an Observer of the European GNSS Navigation Programme Committee of the European Commission.
Bringing digital technology to space – and vice-versa, his passion is working with non-space users and service providers for the creation of new, space based services and applications, in the domains of Integrated Applications (ARTES IAP) and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).
