Konrad Osterwalder is responsible for educational development at ETH Zurich. His unit (‘LET’) runs initiatives, projects and services which further the quality and effectiveness of ETH education and foster the deployment of modern methods and technologies in teaching. LET activities include promotion of innovation in teaching at all levels, support during the curriculum development process, development of continuing education programmes for faculty and evaluation of teaching at ETH. Current teaching technologies are of particular importance in these contexts, and LET offers a broad range of corresponding services. These include a mobile app for the academic day-to-day, online course development and an online examination service.
Konrad Osterwalder graduated from ETH Zurich in Environmental Sciences, holds a teaching certificate in Biology and is an alumnus of IMD Lausanne. His doctoral thesis concerned the development of teaching using new media. He taught at ETH Zurich for several years.
