Open discussion description: Pollen allergies are a problem for a significant part of the population, who suffer during the seasons with heavy pollen flight. Advance treatment and precautions can reduce the pain substantially.
In this workshop, we want to see if there is an opportunity to develop a better framework to forecast pollen development in Europe based on weather and other information. Also, we want to explore te possibility to create a live database of interested people (e.g. allergic persons), who can submit their reactions to describe the real situation, to validate the forecast and to develop better forecasting and warning systems.
